Birdwatching: Spring is close

Spring is getting close around here. The other day it was Baltimore Orioles that were flocking around our place a raising quite a ruckus, Yesterday it was Cedar Waxwings and Robins making even more racket.

They were both pretty shy, taking off whenever I moved and the light was too flat for good photos but here's a couple that I grabbed anyway.

I'll need to get the hummingbird feeder out soon. We have a couple possible overnight freezes forecast for next week then I think we may be over them for the season. (Of course now we're going to get a massive freeze in the middle of March! Me and my big mouth. . .)
